Travel: England

On November 17th 2011 we departed for London, England. This honesty was my favorite of all of the trips we have been on. When we went I was in fourth grade and I think I was about 9. The whole reason we went on this trip was to meet up with my dad who was stationed in Egypt at the time.  I remember being so excited for two reasons...

1. I was going to see my dad who I hadn't seen since March

2. this was my first time out of country

Overall the trip was awesome, we did so much stuff in the short 2 weeks were there. We stayed in 2 houses, one bed and breakfast, and one hotel.  We were able to visit a castle, see the changing of the guards, live on a farm, see the roman baths, ride the tube, see Stonehenge, have a real English breakfast and so much more. Taking this trip has now set a dream of mine to someday live in England.

The Roman baths were so cool, it was so weird to think that the Romans would actually bathe in the public baths so long ago.

Visiting Stonehenge was a really cool experience, Its fun to try to come up with reasons the stones are there.

Being in Scarborough was such a cool way to spend Thanksgiving.

I was so excited to see the guards in their red coats but since we went in the winter they were in the gray winter coats.
