Dear Santa Claus,
I've been good this year, I really have. I don't skip school and I do my chores on time. So I'd like a few things, it's a relatively simple list. Nothing too big or time consuming for your elves to build for me.
1. An A in math
Now I know what you're going to say, "Just study and do your work like everyone else and it'll come easy to you." But you don't get it. Math is impossible to me. It's like a maze I'm constantly trailing through and just when I find an exit, it gets blocked up again just for me to continue searching for a perfect test grade or at least a passing one.
Maybe just an hour, one in between 4 and 5pm. I mean between 9 and 10pm would be nice as well, just as long as there's more of it. I would never have an excuse again for why I have no new blog post or am behind on an assignment- because there would be that hour. That one measly hour filled to the brim with the things I want to do and not the things I have to do.
Just a bit more then I have now, you know for school and writing and even blogging. You see I have all of these ideas but none are being produced simply because one) lack of motivation (it happens to everyone) and two) see my last wish, there are not enough hours in the day for all the things I want to do.
4. A Finished Book
It's all in my head, every chapter and page down to each word- planned out. But time and motivation are screwing up the completion of what I love and hope to be successful. I mean I don't want you to write it, maybe the hour would be more helpful than I thought before.
You've got to know how to do it, I mean, how else would you get to all of those houses in one night? So what is it? What's the secret? Don't worry, you can trust me. That's what the last kid said right? Told all their friends right after it was gifted to them and ruined the magic. I really just want it to visit a friend, is that too much to ask?
Happy December! This post is in collaboration with my best blogging buddy, A Day in the Life of the Anonymous Me. She did a similar post over on her blog in the spirit of the holidays which can be found here. Her Blogmas (or Collabmas) has also begun, so don't forget to follow it along this year.
